See the money behind a market cap.
A market cap is a price times a supply. FakeCap measures what all holders together could ever sell into, and puts the two side by side.

How FakeCap measures
- The market cap is a coin’s last price times its whole supply. pump.fun shows it on every coin, and a single small trade can move it.
- The money behind it sits on the other side of the coin’s pools. Selling takes SOL out of a pool, so all holders together can never get out more than the pool holds: the curve’s real SOL before graduation, the SOL or dollar side of every pool after it.
- The factor is the first divided by the second. In a plain pool it is also the whole supply divided by the tokens still in the pool: at 800× almost all of the supply sits outside it.
- The model draws both to scale by volume. The glass cube is the cap, the black cube the money, so a coin at 800× carries a crumb and an established coin at 20× a block you can see.
| Backed | under 30× | Established pump.fun coins measure 9 to 26×. |
|---|---|---|
| Thin | 30 to 100× | A big cap on a small pool. |
| Inflated | 100 to 300× | Most of the cap could never be sold. |
| Fake cap | 300× and over | The number on screen has almost nothing behind it. |
- Does a verdict say a coin is a scam?
- No. It describes the market cap and nothing else. Every figure links to its source, so you can check it yourself.
- What about exchanges outside Solana?
- FakeCap counts every on-chain pool DexScreener lists for a pump.fun coin. It measures pump.fun coins only.
- How fresh are the numbers?
- The board is measured every five minutes. A coin you paste is measured the moment you paste it.
